Sheldon Best is an award-winning actor and arts educator born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from Brandeis University he returned to New York City, where he began to work with many off-Broadway theaters including playing lead roles at Manhattan Theatre Club, The Public, Lincoln Center/LCT3, Classical Theatre of Harlem, and The Atlantic. Best has also been seen around the country in many regional theaters including the Denver Center, Baltimore Center Stage, and Cleveland Play House.

More recently, Best's work has taken him into television and film. He recently appeared in the feature film Shortcomings, directed by Randall Park, He can currently be seen on Netflix on the hit supernatural thriller, "Manifest" as the stowaway aboard Flight 828, Thomas. He also appears in the film, Ghost Light, which premiered in September at the LA Film Festival, starring Cary Elwes, Carol Kane, Shannyn Sossamon, Tom Riley, Danielle Campbell, Scott Adsit, Roger Bart, and Steve Tom, among others. Best has also appeared on "The Good Wife," "Unforgettable," and "Person of Interest," where he worked with Christine Baranski, Archie Panjabi, Mike Colter, Jim Caviezel, and Malik Yoba.
